Work Example:

A small prototype of our inventory.

The User Interface is minimalistic with only one item in the foreground at a time, which is represented with the image in the middle of the screen. Using the left and right buttons, the player can cycle through the items in his possession (The textures used are placeholders). Underneath the displayed item is its name and description.

The items were created as resource objects in the Godot engine to make it easier for the level designer to create and edit items in the engine.

In the inventory, items are added or removed as resources from a variable list. The previously described user interface in turn obtains information about the to be used image, the object name and the object description from this list.
